Without proper identification they can not take you at your word
Actually with Wal-Mart the only question they can all is if it's a service dog. If you say yea, they can't ask anymore more questions....and that includes Ga. I worked at 2 Wal-Mart stores in Ga and yes we can ask but that's all we can ask. We can't ask for proof. It doesn't matter if the dog is in "uniform" or not.
Its actually against the law for any store accosiate to even ask,you can look up the exact code and section.this is for the state of G.A
If the dogs are not yet certified and not in their appropriate "uniform" they do not have to be allowed to enter. There are lots of places online to buy the vests, so it requires verification with their paperwork. The simplest way to look at it is until they are official, with all the appropriate paperwork, they're not.
You should have presented the dogs certification license. They cannot just "take your word" for various health and responsibility reasons.
