Good question?Because of Covid they might not,but I think when patients have caregivers they need to be allowed.
I agree. My uncle has Parkinsons & no one would let anyone back there with him when he fell. Plus, my cousin has a brain injury from a wreck 8+ years ago. He cannot remember anything. They would not let his wife go back with him. They told her someone would be out to talk with her & they never did. When someone is admitted into the ER & they have mental issues, someone who is family, should be back there to hear what is being said & to know what needs to be done when they are released. The patient will not remember.
Check into Patient Advocacy. Either yourself or by acquiring some one that is qualified .
Currently there are specified visiting hours depending on the floor, but you should be able to contact your husband's care team to confirm or ask for special permission to stay with him.
