This site is not a place to dig the gems out they are in buckets and the children pour the buckets over to find the gems
I can't speak to the actual "digging" for stones but their staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and the have a wide array of different types of stones, minerals and crystals if he wants to learn about the different kinds.
