Some time in the1830s or 1930s the port of authority had a vote of sum kind and thats how they got the name it was gonna be called the hudson river bridge

The public actually voted to name it the "Hudson River Bridge." The Port Authority always wanted to call it the "George Washington Bridge," so they did. The lower level is often called "Martha."
