Have a small claim about a used car I just bought from a small car dealer. I got a four year warrantee. I only have the car a couple of weeks. There is a problem. Found out it's not covered. Also is the Court fully open during the Covid Pandemic?

Had new tires put on front of my car, 6 weeks later the lug nuts broke off and the front tire came completely off, damaging my rim and fender police had to tow car because of the location of the disabled vehicle.

The court is open with limited occupancy. You can file a new small claims action, the court will notify you when the case will be calendared. Find a complaint form and instructions at nycourts.gov/SuffolkDistrict ( look for forms or small claims on the left nav panel). Check with an attorney to see if your situation should be pursued in small claims court.
