Books are *besides* the point... Book off is a *MEDIA* shop. Music CD's, video game discs and DVD/BLU-RAY are the store's bread and butter.
The majority of the books I've seen there are new or very nearly new. If you can't find a particular book at a major retailer you can try here but I think it's as much about the kind of books they offer as well as the quality of the books they offer.
Mostly used however they do have new books as well as electronics
