Ms. Rateliff, depending on the unit you are waiting/qualify for, it can unfortunately take up to a year or longer. I recommend you call the community directly and ask them if they can tell you what place you are on the wait list, although they most likely will not be able to tell you when others might be moving out.
I was on the waiting list from April to August when they told me a 2 bedroom 2 bath with balcony which I wanted was coming available in September. Residents didn't move out until end of September and I moved in mid- October. Very lovely papartment complex and residents are friendly and helpful to newcomers.
