Their seafood department is nice and employees are more knowledgeable than most.
I shop between Target, Sam's club, and Safeway. Like all stores they have good prices on some things but not everything. On a personal note this is a nice clean store with a great bakery and hot foods as well as flowers and wine
Ehhh... if you're like me and clip every coupon then yes when there's a deal its great, like the recent $0.79 yogurt but usually it's too expensive for me. If you're upper middle class then its good.
Prices are fairly reasonable for the quality of product they sell. You are not getting Walmart quality goods at the Harris Teeter grocery chain. In most cases it is much much better. You will get your money's worth when you shop there.
They have a weekly item/items that are buy two get three free. Their meats are higher quality than some of the other nearby stores. They also have a good variety of produce. Compare for yourself but that's my observations.
Depends on what is important to you. I prefer stores that carry produce/items from local farmers/sources. So I shop here and at Mom's organic market. HT is more affordable than Mom's. If you are used to Walmart, then this will be more expensive. This is because HT is generally more employee-friendly than Walmart, among other things.
Great place to shop especially if it is buy one get one free and you have a coupon for that item .
Do comparative shopping on your stable items yourself. Harris Teeter, Giant, Safeway are in close proximity to each other. Then there is Trader Joes and Whole Foods all close by. I shop in all depending on what I need at the time.
Like most stores the prices of some things are higher and some are lower. The sale items can be fantastic deals. Also coupons up to .99 are doubled everyday. So with good planning and sales items you can save a good amount of money.
