Is there an opportunity for kids aged 6-12 to volunteer? I am hoping to organize a community service project.

I am like 99% sure that kids those age are not allowed to volunteer at IHOP in specific however you could try some food pantries, or churches or even the Salvation Army those types of places will definitely have some opportunities for kids those ages to volunteer.

They may allow them to help out in clothes closet

I would give the lunch break a call about it. I believe they allow the girl scouts there to cook.
