I'm glad you answered because I'm always confused by the question. The Express Buses aren't standard fare & certainly, Shortline, Greyhound, Red & Tan etc.. are not the 2.75 we all know well as NY/NJ residents. Anyway, you guys caught it right away, thanks to you both & happy trails to Martha. ;)

The fare 2.75 both bus and subway. Anywhere in New York.

Local Metro bus or train is $2.75 while the limited bus from Manhattan to Queens is twice or three times local fare.
