Hameed, I have been giving platelets for 20+ years and now have given 78 gallons. One Blood does not pay for whole blood or platelets, but as you were told, a nominal gift can be given. I personally have seen mine.as.a.charitable donation, but do appreciate the gifts given. You personally need to assess your needs and motivation.
