Hello Mrs. Odalis, You must continue to pay the rent to your landlord. Keep receipts of your payment. The fact that the house is for sale or auction does not mean that you should stop your rent payments. The owner can arrange with the bank and take the house out of auction or start a mortgage modification and bring the house current. So your obligation remains the same.
