Before we fingerprint you, ideally we need to see a current picture ID from any government unit from any country of the world. If needs be, we will consider accepting an expired ID if the picture of you on the ID still looks like you. If the person in need of fingerprinting is too young to have her/his own ID, then we will accept the ID of the adult accompanying the minor, plus proof of the relationship between the child and the adult. For someone with no ID whatsoever (e.g. person recently released from incarceration, an undocumented alien, a person whose documents were recently stolen), we will consider accepting a letter from an attorney, or from someone in the criminal justice system, vouching for the identity of the applicant. Please call in advance if you have a special situation!
Any government issued photo ID (example: driver's license, passport) in the original form. No photo copies, no pictures of the ID and no scans.
