I have dual citizenship and have medical coverage in the UK and am still working, do i need to sign up for Medicare B now to avoid additional charge or s it covered under consistant coverage clause?

Hi Gale, Since you are still a US citizen, you will need to enroll in Medicare to avoid late enrollment penalties. Although you have coverage in the UK, that is likely not considered creditable coverage for Medicare. We recommend enrolling in Medicare during your Initial Enrollment Period to avoid any late enrollment penalties. Your IEP begins 3 months before your 65th birthday and ends 3 months after. However, because we don't deal with Part A and Part B enrollment/penalties, we suggest contacting a Social Security office to confirm this information.
