How to show you're computer illiterate in 1 post. Batteries are often model specific. If you really need a PC that urgently, you can take the battery out and use the wall adapter. It's basically a desktop at that point but it should function. You can check the serial number on the back and put it into your favorite retail site to check if they carry the battery. Some are quick swaps and others have to be disassembled to replace it. Depends on your HP model. Batteries plus used to have a lot in stock, but it's been years since I've checked. Also if someone says you need to replace your laptop for a battery, you absolutely do not have to. Good luck out there.
I would suggest replacing yourself if it is urgent. Right now they have quite a waiting period for repairs. The battery is the easiest thing to replace on the unit so as far as price, I'd price that parts and repair at about $80-100.
