I developed a love for rotarys back in the eightys. Finally putting one in a tiny car, if I get a motor that was in front of a manual, all I need to do is pull the flywheel and put in a flex plate in order to use an automatic, right?

You'd get a better response if you just speak with someone directly. I'm no engine swap expert but Chris (the owner of this shop) can you advice on your project.
