Thats a good one . If you just signed the title over and handed to the new owner and he or she never registered the vehicle , it will show the plates in your name . Thats the how of it. Im sure if ypuspeak to soneobe at the NTTA office thry will help you out with the charges . They are really nuce amd willing to help .
As long as you can show proof that you no longer own the vehicle, if the usage is from after the sale, then they can take the charges off your name. Either certified title history that shows when you signed the title over (on individual sales) or dealership trade-in document.
