Can you bring a cooler of food for the kids but leave in car to take them out to eat then go back in the park?

You can bring stuff in the cooler and bring it in. They will search it at the gate. I think sealed drinks and water bottles will be allowed in. They let me bring unsealed water containers but they weren't in a cooler.
