Either works. Max I had to wait was 15 mins when i just showed up
You can walk in. I usually check-in online. It gives you an estimate of the wait time. So I can walk in with a minute or 2 left on my wait time. But make sure you tell the person at the counter that you checked in online so they can confirm you.
