For a fan that old there's probably no parts available. I would just call the store and see about getting a new fan. With it being 30 years old you've missed 3 upgrades, if it is a Casa Intelletouch.
We do a lot of installs and have been in the industry over 30 years it sounds like the ceiling fan you have is a Casablanca intelatouch which they do not make any more Wilson may have some extra parts we have done lots of swap outs for those over the years but you may have to upgrade your fan
