If you buy the ventra card it will charge 2.50 for metro or bus, plus within 2 hrs of swiping the card if you have to catch any transit bus or train, it will be free for next 2 transit within 2 hrs of first swipe
Bus and train fare is 2.50$ they have machines inside blue line and ground level. They also have 3-days, a week, and a month fare.
