How's the picture quality of the 70mm screen? Im planning to watch 2001. Currently Village East and AMC in NJ are my only options and I'd prefer to watch here since it's closer.

It's quite good, actually. Go for it.

It's not perfect, but acceptable. The screen aspect ratio is incorrect though. It appears to be closer to 1.85:1 as opposed to SuperPanavision 70mm 2.20:1 ratio. It wasn't playing in New Jersey when I saw it. Whatever imperfections you see are from the unrestored negative and print.

Not very good actually, the screen is dirty and the projection is mediocre. Not enough light on the screen. I've come to prefer digital projection much more.

I went here to see 2001 on 70mm too. Its not a remastered version of the film so its advertised as "As if you were in the audience in the 60s". That being said the film was at times a little grainy but overall looked pretty good. I was looking around the theater to see if I could spot any speakers but I the only two I could see where two in the front and that surprised me because sometimes it felt like the orchestra was in the room with me, playing behind the screen. Overall i was happy with seeing the film there.

Go for it! See it as the people in 1968 did! Worth the $20.
