The county or township has a free drop off for stuff like that and for old chemicals and paint call for your area.

No they don't take them anymore. Check with your township they usually have some electronic recycling drives in the Spring.

Unfortunately Best Buy doesn't accept them anymore. I had to go to a electronic recycling and pay a few bucks
