If you want to make an appointment for a COVID shot, you can--but it isn't absolutely necessary nowadays since there isn't a rush on it like before. Lately you can just walk right up to the pharmacy, and within a matter of minutes, they can have you filling out a form (if you haven't already) while the pharmacy techs are preparing the inoculation. I'd say within an hour (and maybe even sooner) you'll be done and on your way. You'll still have to wait the requisite 15 - 20 minutes after the inoculation to make sure there are no immediate side or after effects from the shot.
