How do I go about checking out books? Can I just walk in and check out a book..or do i sign up for a library card? I'm from Kansas City Kansas and that's how it was when I was out there. Just wanting to know how do I go about it. Please and thanks.

If you are not in their "approved area" you will have to pay $80 a year for a library card. They don't have many books there, I had to request all of the books I wanted.

You must apply for a library card. Take proof of residence with you.
