Don't go to the ER for routine medical problems. That's what primary care and urgents centers are for.

Mt Carmel Hospital is not the best option in this case. You may have benefited more by going to an EM Urgernt care type place. Medical issues today are complicated by insurance costs. The medical doctors or offices/hospitals want their fair share of the money to get paid for services (medical oath aside cause it is all about the dollars now) In order for medical services to get their money they seem to upcharge everything (expecting insurance to low ball the bill and take their cut). Prescriptions and pharmacies included upcharge meds too. So we the ones in need are forced to shop around (not possible in an emergency). Looking for medical service is just like going to get a car repair. You must shop around and understand policies and rules BEFORE hand. Again this is not always possible. No need to be hateful in a reply , just tell the truth and try to be helpful.
