No lifejackets required. Ferry tickets are pre-bought to ensure boat is not over capacity. It's a leisurely enjoyable ride.
The ferry's are quote large coast guard certified vessels. Life jackets for all passengers are available, but are not necessary to be worn. The trip is mostly in the harbor and is quite calm.
