Any trial size items are ok, no bottled water but it's available in the gift shop. No knives, no lighters.
Its a very broad question really. Many items are prohibited in the cabin - but allowed in stowage. There are also items allowed in the cabin, but prohibited in stowage. A previous reply said it best based on the information you are looking for - head to the TSA website to see what the rules are.
