Based on my travels from GSP, the TSA queue is the biggest time uncertainty. I have passed through as quickly as 5 minutes and as long as 40 minutes
You should be at least 1 hr early due to the unknown timetable with TSA...
1 hour. Any earlier you are just wasting time
It's pretty easy to get to the airport at most times of the day. Rental car garage is right across the street. Not a far walk between Gates, ticketing checkin, TSA etc. Typically 2 hours before flying makes sense. I was still able to get to my gate in 45 minutes of rolling out of bed one morning and being 6 miles away.
They recommend 1.5 hours
