My daughter owns a pet red-eared slider turtle that has been unusually blinking and fidgety with her eyes since the water in the tank was changed yesterday, and my daughter is worried that something might be wrong. Any thoughts?

Hello there! Many issues in reptiles can be due to husbandry...I would be concerned about a nutritional deficiency and/or infection. I'm no vet but it's possible there's something in your water that's causing the issue. If you're concerned, you can take a sample to most fish stores and they can test for common problems for free. You can also purchase RODI water (better than distilled) and a remineralizer like Refresh for a pretty reasonable price and you'll know you have high quality water.
