Hello there! Many issues in reptiles can be due to husbandry...I would be concerned about a nutritional deficiency and/or infection. I would highly recommend you schedule an appointment with Dr Benson or an exotic vet in your area soon. These problems are best handled quickly before it gets worse. Dr Draper
I'm no vet but it's possible there's something in your water that's causing the issue. If you're concerned, you can take a sample to most fish stores and they can test for common problems for free. You can also purchase RODI water (better than distilled) and a remineralizer like Refresh for a pretty reasonable price and you'll know you have high quality water.
