As a sailor in the area... There can be waves... Mostly choppy not swells.. always be aware of riptides... If you get caught.. swim to your right or left.. don't pannic.. you are o.k.. you will break free then swim in... Good advice pass it on.. hammo should not be a problem.. i teach sailboating and sailing.. hammo very cool

Yes. But they are small. Not surfing material. Wonderful for swimming in NO undertoe
