There is no good answer unfortunately. If you catch this facility 10 minutes before closing they will tell you they are not seeing other patients. That was my experience. It was not very ethical, in my opinion...guess they throw the hippocratic oath out the window when it comes to clocking out for the day. Merry Christmas, indeed.
If you mean closing for the night, then it's because they have business hours, just like any non-emergency facility. Seeing people outside of business hours can cause insurance issues, among other things. If you mean closing permanently, then they may not have the correct staff or supplies for what you need.
If a facility is behind and closing, I would expect them to give an alternate facility for the care needed. Not sure what the situation was with you Jeremy but if there was but they should have helped you by at least calling another location and getting you registered if you couldn't be seen. Sorry to hear they turned you away.
