If I have you do my intonation on my guitar, and it goes out in less than a year, will you fix it for free? I already paid money to have it intonated at your store, and was told I need to pay again. This is wrong and I would like it fixed.

I don't work there. But, a lot of players get their guitars set up twice a year because the weather here in Ohio. High humidity in the summer and very dry due to heating your home in the winter. This causes change in the wood and can change your whole setup. It is something you can learn to do yourself or just plan on doing it as regular maintenance like you do to your car.

Setup twice a year is the standard, unless you are a touring musician. On a tour, you will be checking setup AT LEAST four to five times per year. In other words, get your guitar set up at least twice per year. If you let it go without setup, have money set aside for a replacement instrument in the not-so-far-away future. I ain't sayin', I'm just sayin'.
