Is there free Camping grounds near Longmont and Boulder County where 1 or a couple could pitch a tent, and get a way for a few days or so. If so is it also in camping season this year please let me know thank you.

Gross Reservoir Camping is dispersed. Beautiful. Roads are a mess. Just take it SLOW. If I can get an old VW Van in there, anyone can get there. It has directions on Google Maps.

There is free camping at West Mag and 37 1/2. I prefer 37 1/2 which you can find accurate directions to by doing a Google search. Driving from Nederland towards Ward it's between mile marker 37 and 38 on the right hand side. There is a National Forest camping sign posted but you have to really be looking for it to see it.
