what is the normal dress code for the shows

I 💯 disagree. While it is no longer normal to wear suits and dresses, putting on dressy yet semi casual attire is best. I attend theatre on Broadway 2-3 times a month and if I wear a dressier Tshirt, I wear a jacket over it. Or I wear a button down. Rarely do I wear a tie. I will wear jeans but always a dark wash free if stains and tears with nicer shoes. It's a way to show respect for the theatre and to elevate your evening. Grab a martini at Sardis before you go and have a night you won't ever forget!
