Green is generally used for money magic and cats are good luck. You can use this, although we generally recommend orange for employment searches; it is associated with Mercury for opening doors and success
Green is also associated with growth and the physical aspects, a good color choice for growing one's career and wealth. The cat has me curious as well. I'd either ascribe it to being crafty and cunning in your hunt like the animal is, or perhaps associate it with the grace and agility that's on display when negotiating through the interview and onboarding processes (not to mention the office politics that follow). I've found that the most effective symbolism is that which you can truly believe in. If the cat works for you as a magical tool, that's great, but if not, I'd suggest finding something else that works for you. At the end of the day, great magic can be done without tools entirely. Magical accessories are a focusing point for the only entirely indispensable tool required: your will and faith in the outcome. Master that, and lacking tools will never weaken your spells. Having them will only add strength and make your work easier to accomplish.
