My experience is yes. But your body maybe doing that for reasons different then mine. What I do is eat Spinach the day before and the morning I go to keep my iron up for testing.
Eat some red meat....like a lot of it. Or just eat some iron pills if your vegetarian....then wait a little bit or something.
