It is one third to on quarter of what it costs to park at GW Hospital! A maximum of $12/day is actually inexpensive comparatively speaking.
If you park/work in downtown D.C. you know the garage rate. I think the parking rate is not bad at all. There is time that the gate was open after 11pm. I was there for for 4 nights back on Aug/21/2018. I was only charged for 2 days ($12 a day).
Parking is outrageously expensive, unless you are old enough to join the senior citizens organization, in which the case they give you a card that gives you a discount.
