Hello! I just made reservations to fly to the Philippines in late August with a 27 August 2018 arrival date (two week stay). I am an American with a US passport that expires on 26 January 2019. Will I be able to get into the PI with this passport?

No they won’t allow you into the country, and likely your departure flight agency won’t allow you to board your 1st flight.
