Long story short, it's because of the corporate environment. Lucinda, corporate fast food jobs don't work like private or local ones- as long as you stay there long enough and basically don't commit a crime on the clock, you'll move ahead..regardless of attitude, mistakes, service impacts etc..this is because no one wants to do it, so those who stay are rewarded. Corporations, like those in fast food, also turn you into a robot with their uniforms, scripts, sale tracking and promotions so eventually, you kind of stop caring too. Also, this popeye's is a special level of carelessness. I think it has something to do with the old neighborhood bc these employees get away with everything as far as I saw.
The pay is low and the moral is low. Most people do not choose fast food because they like working there.
Do they still have the Tuesday special?
Ok. I can see that. But people have to start somewhere. And if they want 15$ an hour then they have to work for it. And work on attitude.
