Virginia, in addition to computer classes, we have E-Specialist staff members who visit the Beaches Branch twice a week to teach computer classes and meet with customers one-on -one for a help session. To make an appointment, please click on the "Services" tab at the top of the JPL home page and then click on "E-Services". If you click on the "Read More" link, you will see a link to schedule an appointment for one-on-one help sessions by appointment. You may also ask staff for assistance to make an appointment. You can find the schedule of computer classes at the Beaches Branch, as well as all of the other branches, under the Events tab on the JPL home page. Hi, Virginia! No appointment is necessary for our computer classes, just walk in and you’ll be on your way! You can find schedules of the classes at our website www.jaxpubliclibrary.org under “Events.” If you have specific questions that aren’t part of a computer class, you can also book 1-on-1 Tech Tutoring with one of our e-secialists to help you with things like setting up your mobile device, etc. that is also available on our website under Services then click on 1-on-1 Tech Tutoring. You check in on the computer with your card it puts you in queue. If it is not busy you get right on if not the longest i have had to wait was about 10 mins.
I don't use the computer. Just check out books and DVD's. The computers are usually free during the day. Not many people. So you can jump right on as soon as you check in with the librarian
