I understand that veterans can see the museum by being there. What are the restrictions for visiting?

It's great to be a veteran. You just have to show your ID and you and your guests can enter any time. You don't have to wait in line or wait for scheduled tickets.

Veterans no longer need to obtain passes in advance instead you show your ID active duty retired veteran and you can enter the museum along with two guests but you cannot give this gift to someone else because the veteran need to be present in order for that guest to get in

Totally humbling and informative. Pride and respect for where we have been and what we endured to come this far.
