Glad to get this info. However, if you are traveling from out state, tickets in hand is a better position to be in.
Showing up in person to get tickets is a tool of the dice, but if you get there early, near opening time, you are likely to get tickets, otherwise, book ahead online. Either way it's free.
Go online and order them way before your visit. If not, get on the website right before 6:30 am because they put up a limited amount that get picked up extremely quickly. If not, go and hope that somebody hands in extra tickets to the attendant. The less people you have in your party, the more possible to get someone's extra tickets.
The museum grants you a ticket upon entry. Very easy!
It's free but we had to get tickets online when they were available.
