Tickets are free but required for crowd control. The museum is very popular. If there were no tickets there would be too many people in the building which would create health and safety issues. Not to mention the public would not be able to fully take in all the wonderful exhibits if the crowds were too large.

Entry into the museum is free; however, you must obtain a free daily ticket by accessing the museum's website each morning at 6:30am. All tickets are usually taken within minutes due to the museum's popularity. You may also get advanced tickets the first Wednesday of each month via the website at 6:30am. These tickets are projected out at least one month in advanced.

Museum is free. Passes are required and released at the beginning of each month for dates 3 months out. The date is listed on the museums website. For April there is a promotion for walk up Wednesday's which do not require passes. Weekends are the busiest times.

There is no cost to go into the museum. You can go online and get advance passes or you can get same day passes online at 6:30 am depending on availability. You can also get passes at 1 pm if you line up outside.
