Parking garages a few blocks away. Limited meter parking nearby on the street. Best bet to take Subway or bus.

You'll have to pay for parking. But that is the rule with any city for the most part

Parking in DC is a bit of a nightmare. If you're staying at a hotel I'd suggest leaving your car there and riding the metro or ubering. There are no parking lots or garages I know of close to that area.
