Parking on weekends at Ronald Reagan building is 15 dollars
When I visited, I was told there was no public parking, and to see the entire musem takes around 3 hours, so metered spots aren't too practical. We ubered from our hotel in college park. The museum is free, so that offsets the overall cost.
Parking is a little hectic, but if you find 1 of those meter parking spots or use a parking app (that locates affordable parking for you) it's not bad.
Nothing close up that would allow you enough time to see the museum.
It's DC. Parking is scarce near the museum. There is parking in the surrounding office buildings if you can find it but it is expensive. The Metro is a viable option
We took a bus to the monument. Basically there is no 0arking near the museum. Take the Metro!
I went at about 11a... found a park across the street and used the park mobile app. I could see my car from inside the museum when I looked out the window in its direction
A car is an albatross around your neck in DC. Park it, ride the train and Uber/Lyft.
I did not park. Sorry. Took the bus down and used uber from the station to the Museum.
