Hello, law enforcement officials, military, active & veterans...& any first responders can visit the museum anytime with 1 quest quest w/o a ticket. There is never a cost to enter any Smithsonian museum.

I do not believe there's any special rule for law enforcement. The museum is free, and there are a limited number of tickets given to people at the door. If you get to the museum first thing, it's quite possible to get in without already having a ticket.

If they are on security duty for the museum . if not then No they have to pay as well as guest.
