It is a small museum about the history of the Seminoles and they always have changing exhibits it's very interesting. There is also a very nice mile long boardwalk that takes you to the village where they are making crafts or telling stories. It's a nice day trip go during the cooler parts of the day...
It is an experience worth while. Need to share at least 3 hours of time
I took about 40 middle schoolers on a field trip and it kept their attention. The guides are very knowledgeable. The have a Seminole hunting camp set up and a very nice guy who talks about the site and answers questions about Seminole life. The nature walk there is incredible we ate lunch under the tiki and a fox walked right by us it was great. We saw hawks, owls, foxes, eagles, and various birds of prey along with all of the keystone and special species one would expect in a wetland. They also have an exihibit of bead work in the museum that is great. It was a pleasant trip and a look back into our ecological history and the history and culture of a people that you probably couldn't understand or observe and otherwise, at least that was our experience.
It was wonderful. It is a bit challenging in a few places if you are in a wheelchair. But the people there were very helpful and I went with friends.
