If we contributed a few dollars could someone tell the preacher that it is in very good taste not to mention a measure of education to at least wear a tie?

Actually we enjoy that he dresses casually. It has absolutely nothing to do with education. You obviously are missing the point of being part of a church, especially this one. The point is not to put on airs. It's to make everyone feel relaxed and comfortable and truly welcomed. Pastor Kerry does a fantastic job of accomplishing this. If you're looking for less then genuine and prefer someone attempting to put himself above others, you'll have to look elsewhere. By the way, I don't recall reading that Christ attempted to out- dress his followers. I'm not comparing Kerry Shook to Christ. Just making the point that the message is about God and His Beloved Son,jJesus. It's not about the pastor's wardrobe.

Who cares what he wears! I'm pretty sure the Lord is not judging weather the congregation gets into heaven by the pastor's attire! Get a grip! Are you from California? That would explain the stupidity of this comment.
