How long does it take just to renew your license. And why is there such a long waiting line .

Realistically it only takes about 10 minutes to renew a license at an office. The wait is long and the lines are long because of so many people, so few offices, and beause they wont staff the appropriate number of people in the offices. It also takes so long because the state refuses to spend any money updating the antiquated system for getting people moved thru in a decent period of time.
